“The structure will be erected for the G.
K. & Z. Amusement Company and Max Hirsch of 391 Fulton st, Brooklyn, is the
architect. The façade will be Moorish in design, the façade being of tapestry
brick and terra cotta. Italian marble will be used in the lobby and the
auditorium will be of decorative plastering. All improvements, for the safety
and convenience of the patrons, will be installed.”

Del Valle is the author of the Brooklyn Theatre Index, a three-volume history of borough theatres.
The first two chosen 2010 OUTSTANDING BOOK OF THE YEAR by the Theatre Historical Society. Final volume published in September 2014.
